KalKoins: West Covina, CA, United States; Born in Wayne County, Michigan, grade school through college in Orange County, CA. I have resided in LA County since 2006 with my wife and daughter. I began my career in Law Enforcement in 1985 at UC Irvine Police. I have worked as a Reserve Deputy with the OC Sheriff's Dept, Irvine PD Reserves, LA County, Long Beach, CA, Deputy in Yavapai County, AZ and Cal State Univ. PD where I am currently. I have been assigned to several different assignments such as, Gangs, Fraud & Forgery, Bike Patrol, Search & Rescue /Bloodhound Team, Neighborhood Watch, Field Training Officer, R.A.D. Instructor and First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor. I am also a Traffic Committee member for the POLAC and on the Avoid the100/DUI Task Force. I continually take advanced training courses to enhance my knowledge and education. In 2005, I began collecting challenge coins after seeing one at a job fair. I decided to have one made for my department. Seeing the overwhelming response of fellow officers wanting the challenge coin, I started my own business known as Kal Koins in 2006.

The photo of the badge is a pin and a replica of Cal State Fullerton's Actual badge worn on their uniforms.
